Hi all,

Can anyone tell me how /where the outer sill is attached at the top?

Is it simply a case of cutting the out sill away / off to get at the middle and inner sill for repair?

LOL- Not that there's much left of the outer sill anyway, but just wondered.

Cheers :)

Outer rear sill is parts of the rear quarter panel, cut as little as you can as you will need to reinstate it after, the swage line is the most commonly used place when refitting the pre-made outer sill panels that are available, or if making a new outer sill up you may not need to go that far up, added some pics below of our website to show how ones we have done in the past.

Cheers!

Yep, I understand how it joins now, I'm hoping I can get away with cutting it about half way up, so I can get to the the middle sill to sort that, then (many years from now) I can hopefully rebuild the bottom of the sill without having to buy a whole replacement.

Hoping it won't rain tomorrow, as I really need to work on my welding!
