We went to Paris for 2 nights for my daughters birthday. We kept it as a surprise too which was difficult :)

 

Was a great break, the place is amazing. I have been there about 12 years ago but my missus and daughter had not and we all loved it. Bloody expensive though as in one cafe I had to pay 10 Euros for a beer and I nearly died :blink::blink::blink:

 

We did a trip up the Eiffel Tower, River Seine Cruise, saw the Arc De Triomph, The Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacré-Coeur, had an ice cream on the Champs-Elysées (which was the price of a small mortgage!! :)) and loads of other stuff and only managed to get a bit lost once which wasnt bad. All in 2 days :thumbup1:. Bloody knackered now as we we got the Megabus back from London last night that took over 4 hours!

 

Have uploaded a video on Youtube of the Eiffel Tower at night. It gets illuminated with 20,000 lights. An amazing sight!!

Paris is a great city to visit, i went a couple of years ago to take the other half up the eiffel tower ( no not a euphemism lol) but agree its very expensive. I think most European cities are to be fair, i went to Amsterdam in May and that was pricy too, beer 5.40euro a pint.

We always go on about 'rip off Britain' but to be honest our beer prices are not half as bad as some other European places!

 

The Metro is faster/cheaper than the London Underground too! :)

I shudder to think though, where we would stand now if we had the euro, doesnt bear thinking about really lol

You have never been out of the UK? :( No way mate, you have to go abroad!!! I have been abroad every year for the past 19 years apart from 1 :) and when you go, you will want to go again straight away!
