So finished everything off, then double checked it. Went to start the car and click noise and now no power, probably blow something, like a fuse, because I connected something up wrong.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated thanks. :crying:

You you got a click noise and then no power? check the battery terminals are on and getting a good connection, i get this sometimes ive my negative cable isnt done up correctly.

the battery is still charged? do you get any lights on the dash or is it just blank? you have a small group of 5 or so fuses next to the brake master cylinder, a large one that has a blue wire on it is the battery fuse. if you get lights and turn the key can hear the fuel pump prime but the starter doesnt kick in, im guessing youve forgotten to reconnect the two cables.

When I first when to start the car I put the ignition on and all the dash lights came up as normal, then I turned the key further to start the car and I heard a quiet click, then all the lights went out and I have no power to anything, i.e no lights, no power locks, no radio, nothing.

The battery was still charged and I will check the cables on the terminals tomorrow. I'll also check all the fused as well to see which one has blown.

My concern is if I just replace a blown fuse with a new one, it may just blow again. Not solving the cause, but finding which fuse is gone may help to identify the problem.

mine does the exactly the same when the terminals are not making a good contact, i have never blown a fuse, but go to start the car, you hear click, and then no lights or power, like something "tripped out", removing the negative on my battery, clean the contact and putting the battery lead back on, fixed the issue, had it do it quite a few times, as the negative terminal lead coating seems to Oxidize quickly and end up causing connection issues.

Ok, well that will be the first thing I try tomorrow. I really do hope it is. It would be a wonderfully simple fix.
