My car is booked in to have my Stillen front lip fitted next week; and I have decided to have a couple of other paint issues tidied up whilst it is in the workshop.....

 

......I also want the "moustache" area on the front bumper repainted; as the mid-grey is looking a bit tired. So what do you think will look best - I'm going for black; but would you pick matt, gloss or satin....?

I voted gloss to match your smoked corner lenses and also to match the rear light panel as that's shiny black, if that makes sense?

So do I Gaz - but on the blue car, the OEM grey is lighter and a bit weaker IMO, than the strong dark grey I had on my red ZX....

I would go for satin.

I would colour code it the tash looks wrong imo, onlly very few zeds get away with a tash.

Id go for Satin if I was going Black.

 

Personally, mine is going back to OEM Grey. original owner painted it AH3 :S

Personally I don't like them body colour. Always think it looks like its been resprayed and they could be bothered to mask it off! I'd vote satin i think. Not gloss (although Andy's above does look mighty fine)

Heh heh, it was a close call Paul!!! I would have happily gone 1999-spec, having done that on my last ZX and loving the look; not to mention seeing how good yours looks in TK3 blue with a 99-spec. But after seeing Andy's car in the flesh, I realized how much I liked the original front end too - and the Stillen lip gives the original a fresher look..... Plus there are a lot of ZXs sporting the 99-spec now so I thought I'd try something a bit different this time....
