Worth geting locking wheel nuts? If so, cheap or expensive ones?

Does anyone nick wheels anymore?

They're BMW wheels on a BMW not a Zed. Nice 18" parallel sport ones, staggered width. Similar ones seem to go for decent money on eBay so I'm thinking it's worth getting locking nuts.

I remember back in the day McGuard ones were reckoned to be the ones to have but there are some ok looking ones much cheaper on eBay. Are they ok?

For the price of locking wheel nuts you might as well - far cheaper than new wheels and tyres. I've recently bought some McGard ones for my BMW. I think you just want something with an internal thread otherwise they'll just hammer a socket on or something to remove them. McGard do get good reviews and arent much more expensive.

I've got locking wheel nuts and also the inverted nuts, as not many wheel thieves carry that sort of tool around with them lol

Exactly!! Whilst I don't know whether wheel theft has actually dropped, it's better to be safe than sorry. Thing is, a determined thief will probably still knick your wheels if he really wanted - even with locking nuts - but by at least having them you reduce the chance of an opportunist theft.
