Well Jr. had his very first interview for his very first job today, and nailed it.....Brilliant, it's only until he starts full time education again in September, and is in a cafe in St. Helens which isn't too far from us. Can't be bad, and will give him some money in his pocket.

It is mate, we have asked all over the place, but mostly due to health and safety, they won't take on 16 year olds, it's crazy, wish Eve luck from us.

Thats great Ian.

People say there is no work around, But I got offered 6 jobs in one week (I applied for 9 due to hearing how bad the job market was) I took two jobs, one on weekends and one mon-fri. Now that the monthly pay is rolling in, I have been able to quit the weekend job as it was just a bit on the side.

My mum owns a few cafes, its not bad work at all, and its normally quite socialable, with goods hours, and time to study, especially for Ian Jr if he stays on to work weekends once he returns to education.

Bet he has an elastic pay check in mind lol we all did on our first jobs didnt we? or was it just me? Thinking I will buy this, this and this lol.

Wish him the best for me.

It does mate, it only seems two minutes he had smelly nappies.....lol. And thank you for your kind words, we have tried our best with the two of them, it looks to be paying off too.

Thanks everyone.

My daughter will be 25 this October and havent seen her for over a year now. No tears from me or the mrs tho.

She stuck in at school, left and did her teachers bit and couldnt get a start without experience ? You need a start to get experience ?

Anyways, after a few months of doing supply teacher she got well gassed off. She completed an online TEFL course in record time and is now in

a sponsorship with the Aston Group and has been in Xuzhou, China teaching English for over three years now !!

She loves the country and her lifestyle ! She has been home twice for a visit and yes, we do miss her, but she is literally, "living her dream"

We are so proud of her and her achievements. Obviously looks from her mum, and brains from her dad !

They grow up so quick !

Alan..........

That's fantastic Alan, and I really hope I have done enough to tell our two that getting out of the UK would be the best thing they could do. Like you, we would miss them like mad, but I just think it would be a better life anywhere but here......lol.

Well done!! Mind you I'm not surprised he walked straight into a job cos he's luvly x

Daz, he would be made up to see you. Though he is only doing weekends at present, trial period so to speak, but if you are up there on a Sat or Sun, it's the cafe that is in the centre of the indoor right outside BHS, and HMV.

Great news mate-well glad for him!:thumbup1:

Cheers Darren

You were lucky ryan, my mrs is applying left right a centre

Tell ya, to get offered one job is a bonus at the moment.

He's claimed my Zed for when he passes his test.....lol, hope I can put him on my insurance without it sending my premium sky high. Cheers Rich.
