I've received another black box for the windows from Baz but still my windows won't work.

 

Are there any fuses etc... I can check, thinking back i'm sure i heard a pop when the problem occured.

yes...

Power window & Seat- MAIN- Engine bay drivers side, back 30amp

 

this is from a us car so you can see the battery... the UK ones the battery is on the other side.

Have you tried a direct feed to the motor????

Direct feed from battery to window motor works.

Are you getting power to the switch itself?

well if power to the motor makes it work.

the black box is a tested good item

then that leaves the switch!!

I have my door cards off at the moment and just got my windows working again. If there's any wires you need checking/clarifying for voltages etc, just ask :)

hold the up or down on the window switch and with the door open move the wiring loom in the rubber boot where it enters the door, mine had a break in the wire there due to age.

can you get your car over to me tomorrow? i have a spare switch and can help you trouble shoot it.

Right, replaced, black box in door frame, replaced window switches, checked fuses and wiggled wiring in door, still now working. Anything else to check?
