I've been playing (!) around with my brakes today and contemplating buying some replacement calipers in a worst case scenario so I was reading the For Sale thread offering some calipers and realised that my calipers are not the same as those in the For Sale thread....mine dont have the 'fins' like those in the picture and also mine are bronze coloured...albeit covered in brake dust etc. They still have NISSAN on them so I'm sure are factory.

My car is a JDM '95 Series 4 I believe so can anyone tell me what brakes I have ? Or are they in fact the same only cosmetically different ?

Thanks

Mark

you will have the cast iron caliper as the alloy one was dropped on later cars in Japan

if it helps any

some of the impreza models use the same calipers..more of them and cheaper..

what years though i cant quite remember

I bought a set of exchange re-conditioned calipers as mentioned on this thread.....

....I cannot recommend them enough TBH as the car brakes like a new car now!! Sure a decent big brake conversion is always going to be better - but it will cost you!!
