right got the engine in was running fine....till this m orning went to fire her up she started then after about 30 sec just sort of died

so checked all the fuses relating to fuel coz it sounded that way i.e she kinda wanted to fire but doesnt..

then the cat warning light comes on when i turn the key and nothing..

any sugestions

By not turning over do you mean it isnt even trying or that you can hear the starter engage but the engine seems to be locked? if the latter is there any sign of water coming out the zorst

no starter isnt even throwing out

hmmm well thats not so bad then, was begining to think your car had h/gasket problems and had hydro locked. Have you checked your engine earths again

iv gave up on it for today and tomorrow on sunday im gonna hit it again

im thinking coz the injector wasnt right that theres tons of fuel in the cylinder so im gona pull the plugs and turn it by hand see if that forces some of it out

heres hoping coz im getting sick to the back teeth with it now

right wentout to it today

rechecked earths,coil pack spark plugs everthing i can think of and still nothing

could the started relay be fookd

wee update and im about to cry

came home from work today to find the car on the ground dont kow how but it fell off the stands..nearly in tear i dug holes in the garden to my srpiz it landed on the wooden block id put in for back ups no damage to the underside what so ever(lucky or what)

anyway after 5 hours of digging n jacking got it back up

got it crancking again but no fire..turns out in my rush the fpr was on upside down..feel like an idiot for that

on the down side though iv destroyed the side skirts as a result of the digging n jacking

I was down checking it out earlier, and it's just not firing on all cylinders.

 

Def an electrical fault somewhere but it's beyond my experience to diagnose it.

well had a productive day on it today its the bloody timing belt sliped a tooth..yey happy days..least i know whats wrong now

sorted the slippe timing belt but heres a q? the plenum gasket faild sucking in so much air its redickulous..but would this coz a non start...heres the problem

all fuses are good aswell as fusable links

all ground are good

maf testing good

injectors all pulsing at 0.14m/s

cas working(turn by hand each cylinder sparking and inj pulsing/clincking in order)

tps working tested n working fine

wtf is it not running its got fuel air n spark timing is within the 15bdtc +-2

ecu code 55

if jeff reads this please your input would be really appreciated iv had 3 ppl out to look at it

Is the plenum still sucking in air or have you fixed it? If not, you need to get that fixed before doing anything else or your just wasting your time.

fitted new gasket tonight ran out of light and patience + im scared to try start it again coz i fear im gonna be back at squre one again

right realised its a bit stupid posting the latest without testing

just went out n tryd firing her ..got the same shes cranking n trying to fire but just not shell run rough for a second or two the stall

Did you determine if fuel is definately getting into the cylinders? Are your fuel feed and return lines on around the right way?

yea m8 had a pressure gague on the fuel lines fuel in is readin at 40/44 psi iirk whik is within service manual readings

+ brand new spark plugs within 3 cranks the new plugs were soaking which says its over fueling at normal timing

If the belts jumped then it may be worth doing a compression test

done that aswell compression tst is coming in at 158-160 on cyliders 1 to 6 wich is within range for n n/a

Next meet at yours, then we can all have a look scratch, our heads and rip bits off.......probably wont get it running but could be fun

Hi Mate have you checked you have all the connectors on the rear of the plenum in their correct place, it sounds like you have a large air leak (you sorted plenum gasket) and blow on the downpipes. i would double check the wiring to each of the injector plugs, mine tested ok when off but in the process of refitting the wires on a couple broke in the casing. Causing the similar symptoms you are having. hope this is of help.

cheers m8 for th input tbh iv checked everything 2ce n three times but u could be right but in turning the cas all injectors and ciols are firing int right order but im gettin so frustrated i might be missing somthing
