hi does anyone know anyone who can replace a car stereo lcd in the north yorks middlesborough area i have the spare just want it transfering from 1 board to another

needs someone good with a soldering iron as the new lcd is already on a board

prepared to post if any of you lads can do it

It's the sort of thing I might do, can you post up a photo of some of the bits first so I can get an idea of what is involved ?

I'll let Andy say for sure but it looks like you just need to unplug the old boards ribbon cable and plug in the new. Unless you mean actually removing the screen from the board and soldering it onto the other.

the board is a diff fitting although from the same make of stereo budd have already tried thatsome of the resistors are diff also but the screens are identical

Aah well, that's a bugger then.. Andy should be able to sort you out though :)

You got something with a better focus on the bits that need soldering, or is there a pic of the parts online somewhere ? From what I see that looks like a lot of very small connections to re-do !

cheers andy have managed to get the other board working with a few mods things should be ok thanks again though
