Hi guys and gals had 2 supras and a skyline now converted to a much wanted 300zx. So travelled miles and found a much neglected project to keep me busy for a while IF the weather improves long enough for me to get started on it.

Any way had a look and bit confused about regulations on having a cat fitted or not . Its a 1994 n/a import exhaust rusted so do i need cats on this age or not to pass mot.

Thanks in advance Jenko

Welcome to the club matey :) iirc any pre '95 zed doesn't have to have cats. The biggest problem we seem to have with zed's failing on emissions is that the MOT station runs a 350z program from the database. The 300ZX isn't on the MOT database so only has to pass a basic emissions test.

Ah ok thats good . Read loads about if theres a uk equivalent model and does the car have egr emissions systems and very confused . So im good to ditch them. An yeah ill get some pics as is at mo.

The car does have an EGR emissions system. It's often the first thing to be ditched though..lol

lol.. There's lots you can do to make it better mate. The club is full of everything you need to know about the zed, so don't be afraid to ask.
