the toyota supra was delayed for launch in 1990 as the 300zx tt was thaught so far ahead in design and technology, they had to go back and redesign the concept of the toyota supra,,, so ha ha ha

Yep, tis true they did delay the launch of the supra because of the 300zx. They thought in its (then) state, the 300zx would trounce the supra in sales.

The delayed it and came back with a revised model.

And they still aint got the supra right yet!!

Ooooo I dunno. The MKIV is bloody fast and reliable with it.

Risking being thrown of the forum with this question, but gonna ask anyway...

Prior to buying my Zed I looked very closely at the Supra TT, but good ones were too pricey for me. Still may consider getting one after Ive got bored with the Z (unlikely!). Still not sure on the styling of the TT though?

What are peoples views (unbiased!) out of interest?

your what,????? how can you not be sure of what is an amazing design lol, i really like the look of my car, from certain angles they are awsome.

In a straight contest (ignoring price), the Supra TT wins on every count against the 300ZX except for looks, which is purely down to personal preference.

There is a good reason Toyota delayed the MKIV Supra, and that was to create a car as much better than the 300ZX as the 300ZX was better than the MKIII Supra.

This is an unbiased view - the 300 is a great car I would be happy to own, it's just not as good as a car released over 3 years after it.

I think we need to add a 'I love Supras forum'. My (unbiased) opinion is that Warren is right the Z looks awesome and supras look like pigs unless they have a veilside kit on. If I had wanted a Supra I would have bought one. I couldnt give a shit how good Supras or anything else is. I got the Z cos I wanted it.

DOH!

Sorry Guys ..

When I said 'not sure on styling of the TT' I meant the SUPRA! not the Z!

The Z styling is classic coupe, well balanced, purposeful etc. The Supra is one of two things to different people Yummy or Butt Uglee.

Sorry for the confusion, I'll stick to Lightbulbs threads in future ....

on a completly unbiased view i actually like the supra, but i cant agree that it is a better car, cause in many sportscar write ups the 300z beat it all out

Sorry guyZ,

I think you all know my feelings about Supra's!

I love 'em, only reason why I didn't buy one was coz I couldn't afford it. But looking at how much I will end up on my Z I might aswell have waited and got one anyway! LOL!
