Manual conversion... now power light flashing on dash?

Some of you may have seen I've done a manual conversion on my NA with an engine change at the same time. The car turns over but will not start as I'm getting no spark. I have noticed though that the power light is flashing and wondered if thats normal in a conversion and what it means? i've done a search and found it means autobox fault, have I missed some wiring somewhere or something? I haven't done the reverse light wiring or ECU pin 44 ground yet maybe thats why?

nope ... the car will still start regardless of pin 44 & reverse

the power light is normal for any auto car should go out after a few sec's

i still think its down to your alarm/mobilizer

If you pull the autobox ecu out that should stop the light flashing...........and no spark could be alarm problem.

I've checked all the PTU / CAS etc connections and they are all ok, tried the PTU from my TT too. The CAS hasnt been disturbed as the replacement engine was from my old black one and running perfectly.

Got a replacement ECU to try today and check for any alarm earths that may have be moved when changing the pedals over. I'll sack off the autobox ECU whilst I'm there :)

Did you connect up the gearbox ground lead that's bolted under the rear mount. And the EFI harness grounds to the rear of the plenum. Did you do the wiring behind the drives side head light.

You probably have bud, I'm just chucking thoughts at you :)

thanks guys just picked up a multimeter from work, I'm also charging my battery fully so I can rule out that. I'll take all the ideas I can at the mo as its starting to piss me off! lol.

whats the wiring behind the drivers headlamp dave? you mean where the gearbox loom plugs in? will have to clamber underneath and make sure the gearbox earth is on the cradle, sure it will be but worth a check
