Well one sunny day I washed the zed and got it all nice and shiny

There she said pointing. Oh sh.... said me, that's just happened. .......mMust have been the cold hose on a hot screen

 

Any way Bronxe screen with green sunstrip ? Told Jeff and JAmie and they reckoned about £700

 

Phoned Mr Feeney and was told you'll be lucky, Nissan haven't got any and it's no longer on the parts list.... oh sh.... again

 

Then Jeff pms me and tells me there after market ones made by Triplex or Pilkington..... That's better thinks me

 

So I check the insurance and there's a £70 excess for UNLIMITED COST glass replacement. So I phone the insurance expecting a big arguement, but no a bit of tooing and froing to identify the specific car for them, gawd knows why cos they insure it, they say yes they can get bronze tint and Green sunstrip, be there on Friday. WOW !

 

Anway Thursday get a call the screen they collected was damaged so they'd have to get another and would come Monday. Bank Holiday Monday. Their guys were working so they'd do it. Sunday get a call... Their guys were working bu their suppliers weren't so they hadn't got the screen, could they come wednesday lunchtime ?

 

So 13:30 today van arrives, and lo and behold one nice brand new bronze tinted screen with a green sunstrip was unloaded and fitted. So I'm one happy bunny now 'cos I've got the proper screen for just the excess !

 

So if anyone tells you you can't get a bronze screen in the UK tell them to check with Triplex and Pilkington cos they must be trying to palm you off

Well it was put up for information because I remember people on here saying they couldn't get the bronze tint and ended up having to a blue tint on the front and bronze on the sides

But yes, I put up to be helpful because I know a few people have had problems in the past and I didn't want a blue one on mine !

 

If it helps anyone in the whole zed community get the right screen then it's done it's job !

no offence but you know not too, why test the water still?

so how come it's ok to mention Zclub then and not ?

we went through this a while back when it was announced, im sure you can still remember as you commented in the thread and we covered the same things then as what you are on about now.

 

zclub and 300zx.co.uk have sorted out any differences we had and have moved on as for "the other site" no such arrangement has been made and thus we stand by our editing.

 

Think heavy handed as you may, but that is our stance and we are staying with it for now, things might change in the future.

As Vods has said Zclub and 300zx.co.uk are affiliated and work together you know this Tony and thankyou for your post on windscreens but this is of topic now. Please keep on topic or thread will be closed.

But positively and back on topic: Glad you got your windscreen sorted Tony and at a seriously low price - I managed to get a crack in mine a couple of years ago and settled for the blue tint as it suited the paintwork, and I was gobsmacked at how easily the insurers picked this up! Shame the targas are bronze but hey, bigger things to worry about!
