Been offered a wide arse uk z engine and tubs only 10k old with reciepts for 8k [from turbo developments] for turbo and engine bits alone, the car has failed mot on rust havent seen it as yet but thinking of gettiong it to replace my turbos as they will req doing soon I think.

 

My question is this.....is the body kit worth salvaging or if I buy it just bin the shell?

depends how bad the rust is, but a wide arch kit, if you can get it off the car with out damaging it, possibily around £250, dont they go brand spankers for 350?

cills are gone the whole length of car so will take a look at the kit, shame really because thousands has been spent on this car:no:

wont be for a while (couple of months) and even then would depend if i can get them off the car with out wrecking them. you can get new ones from zcenter

relying on being able to remove a fibreglass widearch kit in one piece is a big risk. If the corrosion is not that bad you would probably be better of seeling it a Widearch rolling shell once you've removed the running gear.

Ian, where did you get the wider front wings? Zcentres are just standard size. I even mailed him the other day and was told he dont do wider ones

if they are copys of these then no doubt they are already wider, im running et +35 on the front an i will need spacers if i wish to sit flush with the arches.

Dave Apparently [not seen myself] but there are no cills both sides of the car, so possibly anouther z going to that great breakers yard in the sky.

Will be for sale mate, only really interested in the tubs, oh and it apparently has 4k worth of suspension setup goodness knows whats on there to cost that much but will know soon:thumbup1:

whats happening with the plate from the car?

 

Baz plate was on the car but now its back on an H plate, I got that reg from all the docs with car, but must have been transfered some years ago as the car has not been on road since 2003/4.
