TT to N/A conversion.......... with a twist! :)

Following suspected turbo seal failure and pcv issues i have decided to convert my TT into a N/A, but with a difference!.........by using a 350 cu in (5.0 litre)small block Chevy v8.

I have aquired a complete engine including ancillaries (for £200!!!) and the plan is to rebuild it with new shells and rings etc and mate it to the zed manual box with an adaptor plate (have researched it on US forums and its perfectly do-able).Have looked at loads of images and the conversion leaves loads of room under the bonnet and eliminates loads of parts, other than just the engine itself.

So once the swap is done i will have loads of parts for sale, including a complete engine, uprated intercoolers, various electrical stuff, dump valves etc etc which i will post up for sale as and well.

once i get the v8 delivered i will post up some pics and keep you all updated.

whilst this project may not please the zed purists it should be reliable (cant get much simpler than a chevy v8) and a bit different from the norm, plus it will make all the right noises with a Holley carb fitted! :)

anymawho, heres a taster of what i hope to achieve, taken off the net :)

make sure you keep us all updated, thinking of doing a similar conversion myself, love the sound of a Chevy V8, glad to hear you've gone for holley carbs :thumbup1:

Shame they are Edelbrock carbs then :tt2: :clown:

And why not....?

I have always been a sucker for a V8 - but in 2003 I bought a 300zx instead of a Porsche 928 and have been hooked ever since.

So to hear your plans, I wish you good luck with your project mate!! And I believe the Nissan 4.5 litre V8 has also been used in a Z32.....
