no labour charge as i can rebuild my self ...

just depends on what bore damage but thats costed all ready

would say 2k+ depending on the parts used

its full metal type ... where as normal head gaskets have metal rings but the rest is made from some sort of softer stuff ...

softer stuff being composite :)

what about the crank ? no polishing or getting the valve faces and seats cut,its not quite so simple,anyone would be a fool to fit new rings and not have the valves looked at.And dont say lap them as id love to see anyone try to lap a 20 year old exhaust valve out of one of these things.

thats something i have thought about .. and will be speaking to a local engine tech place just around the corner from my shop ...

 

when u say polishing u talking about the crack ... if so all ready thought of that

Are you serious ? do you understand what they do and how they work,they are coated metal layers which when clamped create a seal.its not a gamble i can assure you,i never suggested it for a joke.When you take them off you will see what i mean.On the US forums people have re used them 5 times with no issues.I know of two people personnally running used cometic gaskets with no issues whatsoever.But if you know best........

im not saying i know best mate far from it. its just the fact i cant do it. if i use them again ill be constantly scared of useing my car through fear of it going bang. it shouldent but i will still be scared of it happening. 120 is a small price to pay just so i can sleep at night. you can have my old ones if you want. lol
