Not me it seems as I gave up trying.....:surrender:

.......I made good time down to Castle Combe; arriving in the vicinity about 8.50 this morning. Then I spent nearly 2 hours just sitting in traffic as the whole area was completely gridlocked - from the end of the dual carriageway on the A350, past the little service area with the Esso garage and beyond.

I made it about half way between that services roundabout to the next one; and by 10.40 I had made no more progress. There were a few Japanese cars in the queue - not many though - I was behind a blue Scooby with a great reg (W666WRX) and in front of a nice white 370z. So me, the 370z and a white Mk4 Supra behind that, had had enough and turned round.

I did try a couple of alternative routes via some small lanes and through the village - but still gridlock. So I turned tail, headed back to the M4 and nailed it home in a very pissed off mood......:cursing:

I hope all those who eventually made it had a great day and look forward to the pics. Me, I guess my patience does not extend to sitting in traffic for 2 hours!!! Mental note - next year get there at 7am......

Richard:blink:

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

All standard apart from twin intake, larger Rad, hks blow offs and stainless exhaust...... Oh and a drive it like you stole it attitude :) shame we didn't get to meet up .... But then we could try and make one of the gurston hill climbs a meet one weekend

yeah i know i did try and get round and meet everyone, but i recon i met a fair few people nd didnt even realise who they were. lol. yeah would be good to see your car flying up the hills lol.

Was a great show, for us this has been the most successful show we have ever done. It's always good but yesterday was a record. Thanks to Mark Derby and Tubz for the lend of the Z's as mine is still in bits!!

I was there too, finished work at 12:30am, started at 6:30am, made some tea, had an hours kip, set off at 3:00, few stops on the way to meet up with my mates civic type R EK9 racer boys, (and they all got there arses shown to them on the way, no law breaking tho, no need to go over 70 to do that) only traffic was queing for the gate, then they sent me the wrong gate even tho I had my pass displayed in the window, but even that was only about 40 minutes of car perving, got on the stand about 9... Have to say tho, I did my best to meet people, but unfortunately, the majority of the zed folk I spoke to (didn't get names as they couldn't be bothered) didn't want to talk about anything, or even say hello, but the few zedders I did speak to (you know who you are) were cracking folk, and was excellent to meet you, some quality zeds, it's great to see everyone's different approach at doing the same mods/things, and I got some pictures of scantily clad ladies on my zed, although I was more arsed about them sitting on my zed than perving on them :) top day all round :) :) :)

And my phone went flat as I got there, as I had a GPS speedo on it because my is playing up, and need the ignition on to use the cig lighter to charge, so only got my mates pics, bit of a bummer, but still a top day, 400 mile round trip, and only problem was a rather nasty oil leak from the offside VTC solenoid, which was amusing to the civic boys, thinking I had a turbo problem because everytime it dripped onto the turbo (which was quite often) it smoked, but other than that, she didn't miss a beat :)

Anthony... I must have walked past the SFS stand about three times... didn't bother going in because I thought you wouldn't be there.... :(

I shouldn't of been there really, found it difficult standing back and not being 'hands on' I did get a *****cking off the wife for not resting enough. I didn't see any members really apart for Marco, Mark Kent and Tubz so maybe like you everyone thought I would be home resting, just can't stay away!

I was there! I got there at 08.30 after a bit of traffic, i set off home at 3.00pm got in at 6pm, Zed did not miss a beat. Loved the whole day, it made it better due to the weather- is was brill!! Nice to meet new faces aswell!

7am left at 3 :)

That's what I'll be doing next time then......

Sorry to hear this Richard. I got there at 7:00 and it only took 30 minutes to get in. Turned out to be a great day, but it was really crowded. I'll post some pics on the main thread.

.....but I am pleased that the day was a success and, following on from Gary's thread in National Events, a big thanks to Marco and Steve from the Zclub for organising it!!

Well i got there at around 830 and was in by 850! next time you come down go to junction 18 go right on the big round about then first right again then right at the end of the road and it will take you in no problems!

...Nice tip Dave; perhaps I should have tried that instead of heading back east - I still had nothing to lose at that point...!!

I still feel gutted that I missed it as I had been looking forward to the show.
