Hi people,

I have changed my plugs to Iridium 7's and she runs sweet under load, but having some issues with low idle and stalling on tick over. I swapped back to NGK 6's and she idles just as bad, but runs rough, so back to 7's and all is fine except the low idle/stalling on tick over. I went to adjust the base idle and I can hear a hissing sound from the valve itself. All the pipes have no air leaks. If I remove the yellow connector the hissing stops, and she stalls. I connect it back and the hissing starts.

Any ideas people.......

Its a very loud hissing and cannot feel any airflow around the valve (i.e. leaks)............ Could this be the gasket?

Mmmm, Was she running OK prior to fitting the new plugs?

The only reason I ask is, you may have disturbed the O ring at the end of the balance bar closest to the valve.

Sounds like the unit itself is on it's way out mate. Have you taken it off and given it a clean?

I changed the plugs along with new injectors. I have checked the balance bar o-rings and they are fine.

I have now adjusted the base idle screw, and she seems to be a little stable, but still getting the hissing from the valve and when yellow connector removed, she stalls.

Have you checked your TPS voltage is ok? I would take the iaa off and strip it down. It's sounding like you have a leaking seal in the iaa.

The TPS reading is fine. If I remember correctly, I did remove the pipe and spray a little DW40 down into the valve; But I think I will remove and strip the IAA unit next weekend.

Many thanks for the replies people.........

I will update this thread when I resolve the problem.........

Cheers guys,

Let me know how you get on mate, maybe you can give me a few pointers as mine is doing something really similar. Be very interested to know if it is the IAA.

See ya soon.
