Just bought myself a nice new shiny black bonnet this week and a full set of 2012 vw transporter steel wheels arrived free of charge ! :whistling:

Thing is there not mine - so what shall i do ?:confused1:

Double checked and i've discovered that the boxes have been resealed by TNT parcels and the original labels have been removed.

Somehow a new label was added by TNT same as the label for my bonnet in my name.

SO

What do i do -

1.) Phone TNT and get them to pick em up - being a good honest guy that i am.

2.) Wait a week or so and if they dont come back for them then sell them on ebay.

3.) Sell them now.

Decisions decisions !

Wheels are pictured as below but whithout tyres :

Somebody is going to be wanting them and the paper trail might well come to your door, I know if I would of sent them I would be anxiously checking the tracking, etc.

Option 1 Lee

If they were a set of 19" deep dish Work wheels in 5x114.3 fitment I'd say keep them.... I reckon this time ring them up.. but the choice is yours lol

You would be highly dischuffed if your nice new shiny bonnet had been delivered to the owner of the wheels instead and he plonked it on eBay!!

True but i would never send stuff without being ensured and its the parcel companies resposability to get it right.

I'll likely phone tnt as i cant be fecked with the hassle if something did happen.

cheers

I would call TNT and leave them to sort it. Some poor bugger has a van with no wheels lol.

Now that is just greedy but I see your train of thought, you could then sell the 18's to me (dibs) and I could then sell on my 17's jumping0001.gif

Reading between the lines I think we both feel we need another inch to be truly contentsad0049.gif

they aren't your property. but there is a legal timescale, not sure on actual time. i think after a month or something like that ,if you have called said responsible persons to no avail.then after a certain time period they are yours to do whatever you want. nice:cool3:

haha, speak for yourself, I'm happy with my 18s, but may end up buying some new deeper dishes if I stumble across some

Following on from this and in a similar vein, I sold something on ebay for £35.00, this was perhaps 3 months ago and the buyer was local so collection with cash was on the cards.

I heard nothing for about a week so I sent an unpaid item reminder, bl**dy paid with paypal didn't they, when I was just nudging for collection/cash, postage was not paid.

I have since heard nothing and it is not my responsibility to go chasing about, so I have the item in my garage just sat here all paid for

Does it ever become mine again?

Who does it belong to?

I like my postage insurance, I'm sure if the one who ordered the wheels would have had insurance too :) If not, it's their own fault!

That's what I would do. If they don't respond by collecting them, then give them written notice that you will keep them for a further (say) 14 days; after which you will dispose of them in which ever way you see fit and retain any proceeds to cover your costs/inconvenience!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

yes it does. its got something to do with possession is 9 tenths of the blah blah. landlords use this rule often when objects of any value are left in their property. like i before mentioned though....i'm not 100% on the timescale. but it is correct that if its in your possession for x amount of time and owner/buyer has not bothered to sort it then tough sh^t basically. sell ,destroy etc. this is why police auctions exist , lock up auctions etc. your local plod station will know or citizens advice,or civil solicitor.

Option 1. I can't believe you are asking. Similar thread the other day from someone else, what is up with you guys? Just do the decent and honest thing.

That was free money

This is different though and I think phone TNT as somebody is probably waiting for these to arrive. I know I'd be upset :(

you did the right thing, bought a set of GTR alloys a year or so back, and parcels2go lost them, i was so annoyed, i got my money back but never did find another set of R34 alloys going cheap.
