Are the prices including the cost of the paint? How bad is the rust, are you talking a minor arch flake sort of thing or buying new sills?

Hate the way people price resprays on how good the customer wants it !!"

if u go for option one then is the odd run exceptable or paint not in the gaps coz they cba to remove the trims ?? .

pay cheap and pay twice !!

If its a colour "change" then all panels need to cum off anyway ! or its not a colour change ! just a blow over in a diff colour !!

It's spelt come mate, that spelling means something else

£300 for an engine removal and put back in!!

Have they any idea what a zed is, lol

Wouldnt trust any mechanic to touch my block unless I knew they had zed experience.

Does seem very cheap for an engine pull and respray...

It's cheaper to buy another zed, in any colour you want, then swap over any trim bits your prefer from your first car & sell off the original ?

£300 for engine out, spray bay and refit is waaaaay to cheap.

If you get the bay sprayed you dont just remove the engine, you need to remove absolutely everything.

Sounds like the kind of job they will start then say, 'hold on, theres a bit more too it. Its going to be £1000' By this time, your engine is out

As said it's alot of money if you go for the works but at the end you should have a top paint job in the colour you want and your Zed will look like new! You could see if you could cut the cost down by doing some of the prep work yourself such as masking up, rubbing down the original paint. I've had a few mates do this before and the paint shop was fine with it, just depends how involved you want to get and how much time you have. Could you deliver a rolling shell on a trailer?

Last year when I spoke to Jeff at Zedworld he said it would be £150 ish to spray my engine bay and have a bit of a tidy up, this was with the engine already removed so their price of £300 would be more and as Jaikai said I wouldn't want someone taking my engine out and stripping the bay unless they knew exactly what they were doing as it will lead to no end of problems and further expense getting someone who knows how to do to put it right.

Who is the guy on here that is the professional sprayer that I think comes from Wales or close by? Interested to hear from someone in the trade.

I had my Zed sprayed some years ago, paid a fortune for it, they had it over 1 year!!!! and the finish was shocking to say the least.......

The price, imho, does not come into the equation.......... the main factor is quality of work. If you can see at first hand, some very recent examples of the work carried out by them, and some work that is 1-3 years old, and it is good, then go for it.

For me now, I would have the car wrapped.............. The price for a good wrap, far ways out the cost of a spray, and if you are fed up with the wrap after a few years, just peel it off and get it wrapped again...... simples.
