This was following the battery being accidentally disconnected.

 

They said its cracking for a 20yr old car :clap:

The feeling is relief that I don't have to spend any money. First time I have taken her through an MOT and have not done a great deal apart from change oil and upgrade brakes.

good news all round, 1st one is always a worry as your not 100% sure what might be wrong with it.

She has only done 41000 miles. I use fuchs 10/50 ester oil. Always use ultimate although now on 99 tesco as they ran out. I also drive like a granny when cold and always let her cool down. I think the emissions could have been even better though as the battery was disconnected. Not forgetting the previous owner looked after it well so I don't really deserve much credit overall.

I don't understand the so-called emissions bit now - at its MOT last month my ZX showed CO2 of 0.01%, HC of 2 PPM and lambda of 1.012...??
