wonding if someone can help....

i should be getting zx-tts turbos, which are better then my current ones,

now my zeds running a zedworld chip, boost jets @ around 12psi,

now i know from the dyno day it ran very slightly lean, now surely bigger turbos means more air so it will run more lean...im not after power really,

my questions are:

can the map compensate fro the greater air flow?

can the std injectors flow enough fuel?

and can i run a mapped ecu without the jets? (lower the boost) or will it then run rich?

ill be taking it to surrey rolling road at some point after its all fixed up, just trying to get an idea first

thanks.

i imagine that the chip highers the fuel ratio a little, so running it without the jets would cause it to run rich. I doubt enough to cause problems though.

Dont forget boost jets are fooling your car into higher boost, with uprated turbos you would need an electronic boost controller to more accurately control the boost.

And with new uprated turbos i doubt your current chip would be sufficient.

So i think if you install uprated turbos you should install an electronic boost controller, swap the chip for a more suitable one and remove the jets.

from what i've read/ heard, z1 use the same chip until the injectors are increased, which is 17psi on std injectors and turbos...

so im thinking 12psi through slightly bigger turbos should amount to safe air flow rate,

im going to get an electronic boost controller and set the max using the dyno,

whats the next stage in chips after the zedworld one? i dont want bigger injectors yet though...

let charlie at surrey work his magic, he knows his stuff, when are you thinking of getting there, we should do another meet, been there a few times with the club. great fun.

not sure tbh, don't think ill fit the turbos till the end of April, went with ADL racing a few months ago would be good to have a before and after

If I were you I'd go for a custom map on nistune or similar with a proper boost controller and you'll probably need bigger injectors for much over 16 psi
