For ages now, what I thought was my door lock (actuator), has been making a really loud noise when opening/closing . On taking the door card off I realized it was actually this that was making the noise!

After replacing it the noise has stopped so I won't be waking half the street up anymore when arriving home late!

The problem I have now is, when I press the alarm fob the catch inside the door locks and the alarm sets but if you pull the door handle the door still opens?!

I've tried just closing the door and using the key but the the catch still goes in to the locked position and the door still opens.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Matt

i had to refit my locking mechanism which came with alarm.same problem as you. on mine i had to just pop base of door card enough to see what was happening when i pressed fob. it was the attacher clamp rubbing on door card itself.it was jamming lock either open or locked. so i shaved inner of door card to allow movement. problem solved! word of advise though...keep passenger door open whilst testing. hope this is some help. lee
