My 91 won't go into reverse unless I use the switch behind the gear lever. Thought I read on this forum sometime ago about a switch somewhere that may need adjusting to make it go into reverse using the gear lever buttons?

I'd say that's correct, it shouldn't go into reverse without pressing the button on the gear leaver

i believe he means the small button attached to the base of the shifter that allows you to pull it out of park with aflat battery. as for the falut im not sure sorry. i will have a fully working autobox up for sale soon though should you need one.

Oh mine doesn't have one of those I've got a navan shifter, not sure then about the fault sorry
