as there have been a couple of new arrivals to the zed scene over the last couple of weeks, i thought ide start a thread listing the baby seats that will (and wont) fit in a zed with no modification. as i really struggled to get one when we first had our littleun. if anyone has a baby seat fitted to thier zed, or have tried and found that one wont fit, please could you list it here so that anyone wanting a child seat for the zed can have somewhere to start their search. cheers

It took me ages to find the one that fit... and now the name escapes me, ill have a look tonight and post it up..

i have a maxi cosy and one that was supposedly made for the zed, its got a bit under it that flips over and fits snuggley into the bucket seat.

Handy if you have japspec car though to change the rear seat belts for the UK spec, they bolt right in, only thing you need to change is the rear quarter panel in the back and cut a whole for the top seat belt bolt.

though need to up grade soon as my daughter is getting to big and old to have a securing seat.

I use a Kiddecare one not sure of the model but was only about £30 fits in well. Bad point is that my daughter quickly found the wing mirror controls and wound them in as I pulled onto a duel carrigeway while she pissed herself.

Gonna bump this thread... I need a rear facing one that fits in the back of a Z... I'm guessing all the ones listed above are forwards facing?

AHAHAHAHAHAAAA rofldazza.... you cant put them into a forward facing seat until 12 months so its either that or he doesnt go out in the Z until next year! :(

He actually really likes the spoiler. And I was telling him how gay the convertible models are. Until I get one of course.

You will really really struggle to find a baby seat that fits PROPERLY in the back of a zed. The depth of shallowness of the seat pretty muh stops any seat to fit properly. I put my little girl in the front in both her maxi cosy rear facing 0-9 month seat and her recaro young sport, push the front seat as far forward as it will go and the misses has enough leg room in the back.

I spent ages trying to find a decent quality seat that would fit properly in the back of the zed, and in my head, it doesn't exist. I wouldn't put my head in a cheap motorcycle helmet, and I certainly wouldn't put my nipper in anything other than a completely safe seat

always thought it was illegal to put a rear facing childs seat in the front of a car?

only if theres an airbag, thats why you can turn them off in modern cars.

thanks for the input nick, theres an idea... the missus in the back... lol

I had to put becks in the back and Abby in the front. But i really struggled with the lenght of the seat belt. the was nothing left and i had to push the baby seat down just to try and get the belt to click but atleast it wasnt going anywhere :)
