Get the dog out for a long walk. Will calm him, and let the missus have some time on her own wi the boy in her domain !

I know its hard, but the less fuss the better. Remember its just as strange for Riddick as it is for you ? Only difference is, you know whats happening !

Good luck and best wishes you three. Fiona says he is a wee cutey ! Reckon she means the sprog !

Alan..........

Congratulations Alan, sorry I missed your earlier announcement, but great news. Glad mother and baby are well.

I still have very vivid memories of my first daughters birth....the most traumatic and at the same time amazing day of my life, and its not till you get them home that you can really start those first few days of your new life together.

its not that bad, everyone makes it out worse than what it is, but if you do it on rotation as there is two of you, then it makes it a lot easier. doesnt last long either (sometimes lol)

cheers ian, first sleepless night down, wasnt too bad but then i am still off, back to work tomorrow and im sure i will be like a zombie lol

LOL, its when they start getting smart at about 2 1/2 :) :)

My youngest now knows shouting screaming or waking me up gets him put back in his own bed. Pretty much every morning now i wake up with him in bed with us as he sneaks in all ninja like :)

Haha, normality will resume soon, only it will be nothing like the "normal" you used to know. Take it easy and be calm, it's pretty straightforward really.

thanks andy, it has changed life so much already and so far im loving it, im sure there will be days when im pulling my hair out but its all part and parcel of becoming a parent

hows your little one, hope all is well

Yep, he's fine, will be 14 months old at the end of this week - don't know where all that time has gone already !

Well my daughter is going to be 4 in april and my little boy has just turned 2 back in december, not bad for a bloke bringing his kids up, though i do have a great woman to thank for helping and taking on children that are not hers so i can get work done. was a bit stressful last year though as my mum had to look after the kids so me and the mrs could both work, but shes been laid off now (meh) so shes got the kids during the day while im away at work.

It gets a lot better when they start walking and learning to talk, had some right laughs with some of the things my daughter and son have said.

My little boy tells you to put the ubelt on (seatbelt) before pulling away lol, and my daughter went from saying "slow down" when driving to "can we go faster daddy?"

Im with bigjizzy on the ninja bed theft, i always wake up with my little boy snoring his head off next too me at the moment and for such a little person he dun half hog the quilt lol
