As some of you know on Sunday I was banned for life from zxclub which is run by Hollowpoint, Sexycrayola and Tonyb.

To say that I am angry about how I was banned would be an understatment as I am livid at my treatment.

I would like to take this opportunity to clear my name as I feel my reputation in the 300zx scene has been damaged by these three people.

 

Back in November it was asked by ZX-TT (Craig) about the opportunity to have joint meets with zxclub I said that I would see how the new club performed and in PM's I gave Craig my username and said I would log on to the new site and make a report but it would be a decision ultimately for the committee here.

Christmas and the New Year came and went and after watching all the difficulties within the zxclub I made my report which said that Alex and Rose had did a great job designing the new site and congratulated them on it but there managment skill's were lacking.(I based this on the way they talk to people and treat members who see things different and the way they keep changing there managment structure and going against there own rules)

I aso said the post by there Chairman (Tonyb) saying all moderators from here .co.uk should be banned from the new club was wrong.

So I wished them all the best in the future but at this point in time I could not see advertising events on each other's sites would be happening.

 

My thread was then removed so I asked were it had gone and was told by Rose to shut up and let them examine it and maybe it would be put up again!

 

So after a while my thread was put in a section called "Abuse from .co.uk" I then got a post from Hollowpoint where I was sworen at and told I was getting a permanent ban.

 

I concider myself to be a great fan of the 300zx and my reputation on the 300zx scene is important to me so to be invited to come into a new club and then they ban you is just a bloody joke. I know a lot of members here are also members with zxclub and I have no difficulites with that I also have no difficulites with Hollowpoint, Sexycrayola and Tonyb being members here they are not banned and will be not banned for there treatment of me as they have not broken any of our rules but I would also like to point out that when you do break the rules you get a 7 day ban and come back not a lifetime ban which I have been given by them.

 

So to sum up I am not very happy and wish all members here to know how I feel and I would encourage feed back from you to see if I have got this whole situation wrong or have I been shafted:mad2:

If in fact this "swearing" and ban took place due to an obvious personality clash then I will say I am ashamed to be an Admin on ZXclub, I would expect from any club a level of professional conduct no matter what site its on!

Ok, apologies for the word "Tripe" but I think you're clutching at straws now. As for sarky.....really? If you want Sarcasm, I'm an IT guy, I can do SO much better than that, believe me.

 

Gary, I'm afraid after the last time you banned me, because you told a member I was giving my opinion, when I was actually describing the difference between how something used to be and how something is now, then you continually targeted me to the point I retaliated and you could ban me for 7 days with no recourse (I appealed and was told there was no way the appeal could be heard or settled before the ban was over), I don't trust you, not one iota. So forgive me if having your word doesn't mean much. As it happens, I've already been branded with the 'banee' mark on this site, so being banned again won't matter much I suppose. Plus, arguing it out over here means it isn't clogging up our forum with this nonsense.

 

Your permanent ban was a specific exclusion to our strict rule of not banning people, it was made, because you upset the general membership considerably, you were asked by them and committee to stop doing it, you were issued official bans which you ignored, you were tag teaming with Stellaz in setting up posts to slate the committee and the forum in general, I don't think I could point to one post of yours that wasn't a direct criticism of how we do things and you continually dragged up the past, which that forum is trying to forget. Essentially, regardless of why you may have registered there originally (Which was LONG before ZX-TT invited you as you claim), when you began posting last week and again this weekend, your intention was nothing more than to put the committee and the clubs members into disrepute and make slanderous comments. In short, you were throwing as much s*** as you could, in the hope it would stick, just as you are with this thread.

 

A permanent ban on zxclub is not what it is here. If you were to apologise for your actions to the committee (Which I'll note here, as I have done there, is made up of 7 people, not 3 as you for some reason mistakenly believe and keep insisting), we would consider un-banning you, as we would any other member. Our normal procedure would be to warn you, then again, then again, then remove your posting rights, but allow you to see the forum, then a short term ban, then a longer term ban, then a permanent ban, unfortunately, since you ignored the warnings and Stellaz actually used his warning as a way to start yet another flame war in the public forums, it was deemed that you were not there to try and make peace at all, but in fact to cause trouble and that this was your only end game.

 

I personally welcomed both you and Stellaz to the forum and for the first few days, replied politely to your posts, asking you to observe that there were more than 3 committee members and did not issue warnings or swear at you or tell you to stop posting, I even specifically asked you to get involved with club conversations, rather than starting your own that were hell-bent on slating the committee members, most specifically, me, Rose and Tony. You ignored every polite suggestion I made, then every warning you were given, then every request from the members to just back off and shut up, to the extent that you were banned by popular request!

 

It's worth also pointing out I suppose, that I had some very old hands advise me, that this is exactly what happened with the old 300zx-club site and that attempting to reason with you or Stellaz would never work and that you would just continue your tirade of abuse and propaganda.

Not the point Gary, I have read whats been put on both forums and I believe this has become a personal conflict between yourself and Alex, And Im sorry but i do not believe Stella helped the situation in any way, However all that aside for committe member on a site to conduct himself in that bad form, reflects badly on everyone who has tried to actually make zxclub a success, on reflection of this I will be standing down as REO/MOD on ZXclub as I do not believe that is the attitude or action needed to promote a long lasting forum and now believe the Owners are detromentally causing the downfall of zxclub as a site.

 

Its such a shame.

. If people want the fine details, they'll have to go read what happened, it's all still available, as promised, just moved out of the way of those members, who got sick and tired of reading it all and wanted to get on with their day.......

I will apologise in hindsight for the swearing, however as you can see from the fact it's now being pasted here, I haven't removed it to try and pretend I didn't do it, I stand to be accountable for my actions.

Well considering i haven't signed up for zxclub, i will say though that the board section where all this kicked off was actually available to non registered members, from what i read there were no warnings unless these happened after id left the post on the final comment, the other point id like to make is Constructive criticism is always a good thing. Gary has been a very good mod here and a very liked person and knowing him a bit better than most wouldn't of set out to cause malice.

 

Alex sometimes you do get a bit hot headed for your own good. you seem set in your ways on certain things and have taken things out of context on many occasion.

 

I seem to recall Steve burns putting a post up about spam bots on that same section not to long ago and a few others posting about a mass exodus of committee members, no bans where ever handed out and things got acted upon so its not beyond you to actually listen to criticism and act on it, from what i can tell You have taken things in the wrong context as Gary is a mod here and also so happens to be the person who banned you.

 

Sometimes being a mod or committee of a large club means you have to look at things form out side the box regardless of your personal feelings towards someone, may be you should of looked at it in a constructive criticism stance instead of an out right attack and got all defensive.

 

I have no doubt that Garys comments were more on a helpful front to try and help bring relations together, but with you being banned by him most likely looked at it in the wrong way and things got heated.

 

Personally i think this whole situation may well have been different had Gary not been head moderator here.

This thread was not put up to make people leave zxclub mate it was just for my own personal peace of mind trying to find answers and I think I have found them but it is so refreshing to see someone with morals stand up and speak the truth and not hide behind a keyboard throwing abuse. Im not condoning any action's and trying to be inpartial I also believe that yourself and Alan could have handled yourselves better aswell.

However this is the problem with forums as you cant read the emotion in words, these words and their intentions can be mis-read. But as i said before i believe the whole situation could have been handled more proffessionally on both sides of the fence but Admins on their own site must always be professional and after all the hard work to try and get the 2 clubs working together I feel this has now been severly hindered.

 

There are some amazing motors and great members on both sites its just a shame that personal conflicts have fractured the 300 owners community even more.

But as i said before i believe the whole situation could have been handled more proffessionally on both sides of the fence but Admins on their own site must always be professional and after all the hard work to try and get the 2 clubs working together I feel this has now been severly hindered.

I see where you are comming from Craig and i like to think I was handling it proffessionally but maybe I have more to learn and its threads and posts like this that will help me become a better moderator.

Its just a shame this has happened after all the effort people have put in.

Sad to see this Gary, surely a permanent ban would have gone to a committee vote? It seems that the decision has been made by certain individuals on a personal vendetta, which is a shame really. Its fair to say that another club started up, born out of frustration, by a few members with the way they think, this club is run, but a club cannot be run by one person alone and has to have rules and moderation to survive and retain a happy medium for the longevity of the club.

 

Sometimes there is no reasoning with people who have a myopic view on life and have to have things their way and the last say.

 

Like many of us that know you Gary, your reputation is intact as far as we are concerned and best now concentrate on moving forward with our own club.
