Hi all,

Can anyone suggest what might be the cause of my vibration?

I have a UK TT manual converted 300 which I have just fitted the following:

HICAS lockout bar all bushes and track rods and ball joints plus a new one piece prop shaft from Jeff at Zedworld.

All works fine until I get to about 65mph then I get a nasty vibration which is coming through the divers seat and floor; I have had all the wheels checked and balanced and even put the old ones on just to be sure its not the wheels and it still happens

???

Any help as always gratefully received

Marv

I would usually say thats a prop issue, not sure on the one piece but does it matter what way up it goes?

I know on normal props you can be 180 degrees out which gives you this kind of vibration I had this prob?

That's caused by not joining the two halves of the standard prop together as they were. Which leaves them unbalanced mate.

Saying that I don't know what the problem is either, as I'd have said prop or wheel balance but both have been checked.

I also have this problem since manual conversion, the vibration on mine feels like its the rear left hand side. it starts around 60 and disappears around 80

Hopefully ill be going to zedworld next weekend maybe get Jeff/Jamie to have a quick look.

Was fine after the conversion.

Checked engine mounts they are all ok and seated properly.

Maybe completely unrelated to the work you have had done....

.....but how are your brakes? I had a seized caliper and it gave severe vibration through the steering wheel and entire floor on the driver's side (it was the right caliper).

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Will check on monday as I have left it at the garage as its is pretty undriveable the way it is :(

They are not the best at braking well mine isn't have had alot of wheel wobble under braking for ages brought new wheels ( 5 years ago! ) to hopefully sort it out but still not that great.

marv, good to see your still around mate, i still see you on the way to your work, can spot your zed a mile away, always looks great. Whats going on with the black on the ladys sills then????

Hey fella long time hows you been? She has been off the road for over 3 weeks now getting a little annoyed.

I was going for a Trans-Am kinda look?! The idea was to make the black wheels blend in a bit more.

Will have to sort out a meet but not many people aroung this way so is always such a long way to go?

At the minute she is not going anywhere until its sorted.
