Stafford Virgin Cable. Medium package I think. I am sure this should be quicker

Medium package is 30M.. complain... lol...

Tell em you want something free as well, you will probably get it..

Have you Guys with slow speeds looked at the stuff Gio does on here? Its beyond DSL, using satellite. Latency is a bit naff but some great download speeds. Cant remember the costs but remember thinking the sat stuff has come down real quickly..

Recommended it to a couple of Directors with big houses in alien landing country...

Satellite broadband has such bad latency, and it depends on how the weather is to how much speed you get.

Heres mine anyhow, soon to be on the 120Mb/s

just a tip if u have 20mb more sub .. dont do the test on wireless network

use it on Wired as it can transfer data alot faster

Was working very late last night at work moving an entire server suite from our old

Prestwick Site over to the new Offices which are now located in Troon.

We've also invested in a lot of very expensive Cisco Switches for our Network backbone

and very early this morning after the install was done we ran a fresh speed test !

And heres the results :

Just done another serious of tests today and were now getting this :

Have you ever heard of a service providor giving more than what you pay for ?

As we pay for a 100Mb leased line connection which terminates premises side via fibre optic i'm guesing

they dont have any restrictions in place speed wise either because they cant or they dont expect us to

have the equipment at our side to handle the connection.

Did i mention how quick a movie downloads?

lol

just tried it at work and getting upload speed of 529.7 mbps

[sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

No idea how to show proof

It was def mbps

I am on janet though so would expect it to be high. Especially as its designed for about 20000 people on site and due to easter closure there is only about 100

Yep, throughput on JaNET can be significant, depending on which site you are based, probably the most technically advanced network in the country !
