it prob drains power and fuel etc... etc... but i doubt it would be noticable on a zed tbh im getting mine reconnected by jeff nxt monday i really missed it last summer

My windows don't steam up on the slickie but I don't have leaky targas either. I've deleted mine and even with the na engine it is very torquey but I have done a lot more to improve engine response. Depends what you want to use the car for and how tidy you want the engine bay as it makes a nice area to put the fusebox. Cut the belt and go for a drive see if you see a difference.

The AC will use a bit more fuel but don't ditch based on it costing you performance as it doesn't. The ECU switches it off automatically under heavy acceleration making sure that it doesn't impact on performance. You will save some weight by ditching it but I doubt you'd notice much difference in the real world.

If you do ditch it, don't remove the electric fan as that's your backup in overheating situations.

I would keep it.:yes:It stops your windows steaming up it cools your cabin and if you sell a buyer would want it fitted.

Definitely!! The 300zx is a GT car and most people would, I reckon, prefer to keep the a/c - it's essential on a hot day and I would not buy any car without it!!

As for power drain, unless you are using it as a track toy only, I doubt you'd notice. Besides I seem to remember that when you slam your foot down, the a/c temporarily switches off to use all the engine's power for accelerating....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

I didnt know it switched off, I would keep it. but in summer i very rarely use it as i have the tbars off and let every look to see how cool it looks wit the roof off :cool3:

delete. roofs off for cool air. heater on to demist windows.especially delete if you are going for lighter bottom pulley.

at best we get a few weeks when the weather is blistering, lovely i mean. i feel the cool air for the rest of the year!!! why spoil it.enjoy the humidity i say.its a rarety

Even with air con I would rather open the window than use it lol just think of how much tidier the engine bay will be and the less weight plus sell all the bits to the ones above who keep it and it breaks down as they haven't used it for 11 months of the year :)

Be interested to know what ya did to tweak up ya n/a gonzo, i've done all the bypasses of mine and a port match, intake and exhaust, i figure next step is some headers. and an ecu chip, anything else i should be looking at?

A lot of mine was in the drivetrain with an exedy twin plate TT clutch and flywheel, one piece prop, nismo gearbox mount all helped to get the power to the wheels. All the usual exhaust and filter has been done with remap and all the deletes to free weight and engine momentum. In the end my na is quite a torquey beast im sure there is a few more bits its all in my rides :)
