This a long Title but did not know how to put it . I have had my auto just over a month now. But i find i sit in it for say 5mins and pull away it ok around town just in low gear. But when i get on to the local A road Which is say 3mins away it like driving with a sliped clutch for about 3 to 4 miles then ok.

I would say check your transmission fluid level and do a diagnostics check on the box.is your power light flashing?, if it flashes 16 times there is a fault code logged.

Nissans owners manual states you do not need to let the car warm up, its best to get in it and just start driving. the auto will put your car in safety boost if the oil in the gearbox isnt up to temp, once its up to temp it will switch back to normal driving, this is to protect the auto box, you could be experiencing this.

When you turn the ignition on, do you get any flashing lights on the dash, especially down near the right hand pod?

Have not seen any so far. when my son had his auto he could not move his car for 10mins .So i just have to sit and wait lol

Hi, I have a JDM TT Auto that I drive every day and it has always been slow from cold. When the temp starts to increase all is fine. To put your mind at rest, I cover around 15K miles per year and it's always been the same. As VodkaShots says, its there to protect the engine and gearbox until everything is warmed up.

Thank's for the info was starting to think somethink was wrong

as above - it's best to drive off as soon as possible, don't boot it until water and especially oil temp up to operating temp.

I believe the autobox will also not allow overdrive to be engaged until the fluid is warmed up.

I just drive mine but just keep it steady until the oil pressure gauge is reading normal for a known rpm. Then I can put my lead boot back on
