Thanks sir charles didnt know there was so much to look out for

Hello and welcome.the posted guide pretty much says it all..i would add buy the best one you can afford and if you bought one from a club member for example you should be able to see whats been done by viewing posts relating to the car.

Must admit I bought mine off ebay after seeing 3 photos, no road test (hadnt even driven one until I went out in it the follwing morning) and it was delivered in the dark!,but I dropped quite lucky. :)

As above really mate, and welcome

If you buy off a member you're giving youself a good start, I would suggest that giving 'Gonzo12c' a shout would be a good place to start as he actually owns 50% of the zeds currently in the UK!

but take your time and don't let your heart rule your head as you'll most likely regret it, however there are some really nice examples for sale at the moment and by buying off a forum member you'ld be giving yourself a better chance of getting one with minimal nasty surprises and in some cases (as I found out) you may get some nice surprises as well

Ebay sales always come up for debate on here so I would be very careful as some have a hidden past

good luck mate and I hope you enjoy the experience

oh yeah, SWB (slicktop or targa) twin turbo manual, that's what you want

Welcome mate what is your price range for a start as zed prices are up at the moment you just have to look at pistonheads

cheers guys ive only been here a few hours and i must say, boy i feel welcome. :) plus im being pointed in the right directions. im diffenatly gonna get a swb tt targa. my only issue at the moment is im left with a decision. i will be going away in march for 6 months due to work. so im left with either buying one now and store it away till i get back or just wait till september and buy one then.

my budget is 2000 - 2500 this will be my last sports car, i plan on keeping till i die. this will be my sort of weekend car plus i plan on doing a few mods as well

SWB twin turbo manual is the way to go. In my opinion cars like this are cheaper during the winter so get one now if you have somewhere safe to store it. If you are paying to store it I would just wait until you get back and spend the extra you saved on an even better one! Have a look in the Cars for sale section there are some bargains in there. Good luck dude!

Welcome to the forum mate, good luck with your search - hope you get a good 'un! :thumbup1:

What car do you have at the mo? you should be suitably impressed with a Z

You will struggle to get a shorty TT for 2.5k you are looking at 4k plus. I sold my awesome shorty TT for around that figure and this was a later model too. Have fun in March we are going the same place I believe ill see you out there :)

Yeah, you'd both best leave it until you get back mate....you won't need zed's where you're going

Are you actually in Andover mate or around the Bulford/Tidworth area?

Welcome to the club Lance - you've come to the right place!!

There are a few for sale on here at the moment actually; do take a look in our for sale section.

Also if you find a potential example, I'm sure that there'll always be a member local-ish to its location who would be only too happy to accompany you on a viewing!

Good hunting mate!

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

Yeah, I know Perham Down mate

I was down in Bulford from '95 to '99. These day's I generally stop by Tidworth to visit a mate of mine, as I spend a lot of time down Andover way on business
