Finally my new momo steering wheel has arrived and I have a Nissan boss which I hoped would fit my steering coloum But it wont fit the first pic is my Nissan boss the second pic is the steering coloum I dont have cruz but still want to use my hicas setup. I did a search and I think this is what I need..........

When this is sorted will it be ok for the new 2012 MoT, because my HICAS warning light comes on every now and then when I'm driving and I've been told that it's because an aftermarket boss is fitted?

I have the same issue with the hicas light coming.. I now reckon its because of the wrong boss. Ive spoken to a few retailers and no one really seemed to know. I also wanted the horn to work.. therefore was going to wait until I got to meet some of you Guys and pick your brains..

 

First Ive seen of this boss. If I get chance at work tomorrow Ill try and contact them and ask.

The HICAS light used to come on on the LWB, which had a Zcentre boss wired up and fitted. The one that's on the shortie' was already fitted so I'm not sure mate. I'm assuming that when the HICAS is binned completely the HICAS light will be illuminated continuously???

Need to make shure you have the right one mate there are a few options mine is tt with hicas and no cruz

If you are binning your hicas and the warning light is on then could you just bin the warning light bulb.

If not I will have to wire one up for the MOT..

Wth a £120 momo steering wheel and a £70 boss I want everything working perfect :yes:

The one I had off zcentre was for a TT without cruise control, in fact I've still got it up in the attic so will take some pics later.

 

The horn works fine on both, and yeah I reckon removing the bulb will be the only real solution

To be honest Gary I don't think the zcentre one is worth it at over £70,

 

I can see from the pic that you already have the small cable for the horn so it wouldnt take

much to fabricate a metal plate that turns the hicas plate and signal cancelation.

Gaz,ref the boss the one in your first post(45.00) is the one you need.As for the Hicas light,pull the plug out of the ECU,this way the light still comes on when the Fluid gets low.:chinese:

what would happen to the hicas if you remove the hicas disc?
