Hiya Chris matey,i know lol, as tight as a ducks wim wam.

I think that tyre brand/quality makes a difference; as does having the wheels correctly balanced and the allignment spot on.....

As long as the new over-all size of the aftermarket wheel/tyre combo is not too far from stock, it should not be any worse. Just my opinion of course....

I have something to say............ It's better to burn out than to fade away..... :tt2:

As soon as you increase the rim size, and therefore reduce the tyre sidewall height it is going to impact the ride and comfort of the car for the worse.

I like nice alloys ,but nissan spent thousands upon millions on development to get the suspension and ride right and a part of all that development was in the wheel and tyre department,so as soon as we put bigger wheels on we should expect harsher ride

i do like the oem wheels, still got my set off the breaker with tyres, there up for grabs but I've not put allot of effort in pushing for a sale of late as they don't seem to go for much :(

I will at some stage look for some uk rears, as mine look like space savers at the moment lol.

i agree with richard, my zed handled much better when i put stock rims on. but i had an alignment done aswel. massive difference. seems worse traction sinc ei fitted the 18s but i needs rejigging as ive moved alot of the suspension recently.

From a design perspective, it's notable that the wheel design did not change throughout the entire manufacturing life of the Z32.

Normally, wheels are the first thing manufacturers change.

I think that says everything.

As long as your front wheels are same offset as standard then it will generally improve with lower profile tyres.

standard wheels are too small in the arches.

but each to thier own.

I'd simply put that down to the fact they worked as intended, the brake cooling design to the wheels worked well, noting that can't be solved with some good brake ducting if you run other wheels though.
