conzult on a mac system

Been asked can a conzult program work on a new mac computer, and if so what would be required.

    Don't think so unless you use some sort of pc emulator or virtual machine that can connect to a USB to serial com port!

     

    Not computer literate mate, do you mean that that there would be difficulty in conn mac book to the z or a issue with the mac program itself.

    now there is out there on the market or even free maybe a Windows Emulator for your Mac ...

     

    this is Made for your computer ... once installed it will allow you to Run Microsoft windows Software ..

     

    but the only other problem you may have is the conzult Lead uses a 9pin D plug Serial Port .. this is something your Mac will not have

    you can buy a USB to Serial adapter just make sure it works with Mac ...

    other than that its a bit of trail and error to if it works

    Windows runs natively on new (intel) Macs so software shouldn't be an issue, although specific drivers may be... I've seen people getting it to run on other forums (was looking into it for an old macbook I had), but it is a fair bit of pissing around... much easier to get an old beat up pc laptop imho!

    Prob the best option is to Borrow or buy a cheap Laptop ..

    I'm running VMware fusion on my Mac and the Conzult software runs fine (along with others). Just a pity I can't understand what its telling me :confused1:
