just wondering if anyone knows a way of cutting the road noise down i was on a drive to cornwall the other day and on certain road serfaces it was so loud i couldnt hear what my bro was saying next to me its the only thing that lets the car down really?

change to a different brand of tyres,as this is what most causes the noise, and you could also add some extra sound proofing this would help with cabin noise aswell

i was thinking down the sound proofing route as my toyo proxies are pretty new, but im not really sure were to put the sound proofing though, suspension strutts, boot floor, rear quarter or just all of the above lol

I remember reading recently someone did their doors with a dynamat type product and said that made a big difference to road noise.

If you search for 'wind and road noise' you'll find a thread by Terry in which he soundproofs his car and the results which sound impressive. I would have put the link but it doesn't appear in my address bar for some reason.

i cant hear that over the exhaust lol

IIRC it was a post by Groover :)

i love it, drowns out the sound of my daughter singing, for some reason the moment you put her in her car seat she starts singing lol

IIRC, if i remember correctly

i never thought having kids would be a good excuse for a better exhaust system!!

Yep that's the man.

I still can't do a link for some reason but if you go to the 'members list' on the bar near the top then search for Groover, then go to 'Statistics' click on all threads started by Groover, then go to page 4 and it's about the 12th one down. Worth a look, has photos and all.

Anyone know why my address bar stays on the homepage address all the time regardless of what page I go to? It only does it on this site which is odd.

try opening it up in a new page and see if that gives you the full address

You have to right click on links with this site, it's just the way it's setup. So if you did as you say, go to Members > Groover > Find more posts by groover, then without clicking into the post you want to pass a link on for, you right click on the link, and depending on your operating system the words may be different, but essentially, "Copy Link Address", then paste it in here. I'm not sure why this forum runs without urls but I'm sure someone set it up that way for a reason, as forums are not normally configured this way. :D

I did the doors using Brown Bread a while back, made a massive difference. Would love to do it as extensively as Groover has done though...
