bit of a long shoot but has anybody got an aluminuim under engine splash guard i would like to know how good they are.

Have been toying with the idea of making my own out of some stainless steel sheet using the old one as a template :)

So have I mate but aluminium would be lighter and easy worked with.

 

I dont think there would be much in it, as you could use a thinner gauge of stainless and it would be more corrosion resistant than ally.

I also thought about it but if it came loose... Plastic vs metal flapping acrossthe lanes hrm....

i know west had a garage make up some checker plate covers for the front and back of his old red Z will have a look see if i can find the pictures.
