bit of a long shoot but has anybody got an aluminuim under engine splash guard i would like to know how good they are.

So have I mate but aluminium would be lighter and easy worked with.

I dont think there would be much in it, as you could use a thinner gauge of stainless and it would be more corrosion resistant than ally.

You have a good point there mate it would not need to come loose.

I was also tempted to create a rear one complete with diffuser

i know west had a garage make up some checker plate covers for the front and back of his old red Z will have a look see if i can find the pictures.
