I'm not stopping at just spraying the inner dial surround :D

These will get the full treatment - silver and gunmetal grey with a ridiculous amount of lacquer and smooth strokeable finish ;p

.... yes, it's going to take a while lol ::rolleyes1:

The OCD bit. Because It is NOT an automatic and the rear wiper CAN'T go on because of the spoiler that's going on the car, I really hate seeing functional switches and displays that are not used so I have to 'delete' those too :)

Where the cruise control switch was, there is a nice bright 8mm wide beam blue LED behind it so I'd appreciate ideas on lighting that up eg with a 'NISSAN' logo. The switches are actually clear plastic when you rub them down :) Vinyll Nissan sticker / spray over/remove at the end?... sounds tricky. Cut out a hole, get some diffuser paper/and vinyl?

First fun... completely dismantled pods :)

Bit of fibreglassing.... I'm now onto a bit of body filler and more sanding.

Unfortunately the sexy little Apexi turbo timer I took a chance on ordering off Ebay that I was going to build in just doesnt work so I'm going ahead without it. :) We got half the price back off the supplier because they REALLY dont want the bad feedback, fingers crossed we can get it to work. I hope so, because even though I have to fix the 'brand new' cosmetic damage, because the digits light up in blue.

I had a similar argument with him about my dump valve, although not on here of course, he was gone before I came here. Basically agreed to disagree with him and told him tough, I like em :D:punk:

Back on topic.......:innocent:

.....I really like the look of your dash - top job I reckon! And if you re-sprayed the yellow centre panel to match it will finish it off nicely.....

.....IMO of course!

Cheers Richard. I cant tell you how happy I am with the overall response.

I'm going to be painting up far more than the dash lol.

I'm doing the doors, up the middle between the t top bar, in the boot of course, inside the boot lid, the rear seat panels..... I need a cup holder for a start, never mind the kid in the back! :)

... but he is useful.... he can drive the Espace to shows with the dog so it doesnt get dog hair all over it :p

yes looks great rose good job

Thanks jason. I'm wondering how your interior is coming along by now, can't wait to see :)

The snap off steering wheel is causing a little hassle since the indicator stalk is now too far away - short boss kit is now on it's way - more but necessary expense since got to be able to drive it lol.

Short boss kit now installed, so we can reach the indicator. Unfortunately the auto cancellation for indicators no longer works, but I knew that would happen as soon as I removed the HICAS disc as that's what has the steering angle sensor in it I believe :( Oh well, just like driving an old capri now in that sense, if you don't cancel the indicators yourself, you drive down the road flashing :D

Yer useless lol

Can you still see the pod gauges ok through the wheel with it closer? can you tell us what the bulb setup is you have behind the dials or is it secret?
