haha, was reading through and was thinking the same, take the ciggy lighter out and stick it in there. I know you then have no socket for sat nav but you have to think about whats more important in life!

I've got a switch in my ciggi lighter, it didn't work so i've put one there for my footwell L.E.D's. switch fit perfect seen as though its 20mm.

Been thinking about this but how do i turn the car on?

I figure walk up... shut alarm off, get in push start button would be great.

I guess i could run the main power from ignition through a normally closed relay, but that means whenever the alarm is on its holding a relay open which will chew the battery parked for 3-4 days @ a time.

Wire the primary and secondary ignition systems through switches, then you turn the car on and off via 2 toggle switches. You can buy race-type panels, that have the switches and button built in, or you can stealth it a bit like I am, hiding the two switches and the start button, that way it acts as a bit of an anti-theft mod too. I've done this in a couple of cars, you strip the wires back to the bulkhead and swap them out for equal ampage, but different coloured wires. It's not worth the car thieves time to figure out your new wiring colours.

Kill switches are great, but a switch that literally turns everything on, is kind of asking for troubles.

what about the steering lock

This is why I keep my key, that itself also confuses the shit out of a thief, because it has a key, that does nothing but manage the steering lock. Otherwise of course, you could always remove it like I did on my old Ford capri when my dad snapped the key one day (This was the inspiration to start doing this mod, lol)

That's why you have 2 switches, not quite sure why it's asking for trouble though, that's all the key is, a switch that turns everything on, in fact, it's only one switch, just has more stages and all the wires are in one place, far easier to work out which one is stage 2 and which is the starter.

Don't even bother... can get by them in 1 second anyways...

My point was then it is a flickable switch though, dont need to even mangle anything, if they find the switches ya screwed. and if i'm going to be doing that then i may as well just have a key

You don't need to mangle anything in the Z to hotwire it from the ignition block, 4 screws (Assuming the owner put them all back in, which he probably hasn't) and remove the plastic cowling, it's right there. Hiding a toggle switch that's unmarked is going to take a lot longer to find than the ignition block does. Besides that, this is why you have an immobiliser on the car AND a fuel cut switch that's also hidden :D

Oh i have things much more evil than that, i'm probably pretty safe to mention this given its a UK forum...

Alarm triggered = heater full blast.... automatic pest sprayer control + pepper spray.

I'm twisted... i know.

I'd just like to add i'm really a nice person i swear.

Me too and if there was any way I could legally put a tazer into my car, I would!

pepper spray in the air vents ...cool i so like that should make the doors lock to trap the gits inside until the rozzers turn up

Me too and if there was any way I could legally put a tazer into my car, I would!

Remember this?

I love the top comment as well "Won't run down your car battery, and it leaves your car smelling like freshly burnt human flesh"

So what happens if its windy one day and it sets the alarm off? Do you just replace the interior or put up with the irritation every time you put your seatbelt on then accidently rub your eye?

You switch the acc on with a push on the start switch, another push gives ignition and a third cranks the starter.Hit it once more and kills the engine.

All done electronically very cool!:cool3:

Walk away with the code card and at around a foot away, car locks and arms, same when you approach, car unlocks and unarms!
