Titanium key came with the earlier z's, they stopped making them after a while to drop production cost... you can buy copies of them now for around 20 quid.

And the Titanium key is a special lightweight metal key for the 300zx. Titanium is used a lot in the aircraft industry for its strength and lightness.

I suspect it was more so for strength than the few grams of weight saved :pinch:

Well and the fact they look flippin awesome.

as above nismo is nissan motor sports like amg for merc etc. i think the titanium was more a sales gimick than anything else.

That was my first zed some 12 years ago

It was a great Zed when I bought it cost me 7k back then, I think its had a few owners since though.

Fun fact...

Sub a r u .... backwards :P

A mate of mine actually did that with his Forrester, big chrome letters on the back:

U R A BUS

Was extra funny, since he had modded the crap out of it, so it was far from a "bus"

Ex missus had a done up forester...

Handled like a sack of potatoes and anything about 60mph you could feel it fighting againt the wind.

Had a decent amount of go off the line for a turbo 2 litre to its credit, but really only good as a shopping wagon.

it seem ok mate just got to sort out a few things. what sort of bhp was it running hes told me a figure but dont believe him. seems to be a solid car bar the rear arche and the bumpers been attacked by a grinder by the looks of it.

im going to see if a bloke i know in avonmouth has any bits for them, interior etc to bring it back to its former glory...

out of interest what parts are nismo?

titanium key are no longer available from Nissan well worth looking after, although you can get a black "normal" key for fairly cheap now.

Theres a fella called dave govaard in aruba who makes copies of the titanium key blanks, exactly like the oem item and they are about 20 quid a pair from memory
