For a newly built engine which oil would you guys recommend to get??. Debating on either some realy good oil, or some middle range oil as its gonna be cha.ged after the first 1000miles of running it in.

Are you going to be using the Zed in the cold weather or or you going to fire her up when the frost and cold has gone next year?

you want a mineral based oil for running in, dont use fully synthetic as it wont help the ring bed into the bores

Yup - I was about to post the same thing!!

 

Use a decent mineral oil in the right grade and do a full flush and oil/filter change after 1000 miles to a quality synthetic...

Would a 10/40 be ok?

10/40 should be fine mate .. but id say give opie a call and see what they have

if you can get it an SAE 30 is best but failing that a mineral oil will suffice.
