Kinda confused about wich ones are better...good friend of mine focused me on this on a comparison:

On the Teins, there is no dampening adjustment so your spring rates basically change as you adjust your height. At full drop you'll be a lot stiffer than at normal ride height

With the BC's, you can basically adjust height and dampening independently. So you can be at full drop and still adjust your dampening to suit your liking.

So now I am dounting strongly if my best choice would be BC or Tein, are Tein softer than BC? and what other things to consider on eachother?

BC are a much higher spec coilover. I would never purchase the Tein SS personally, poorly specced and overpriced.

Stiffness is dependent on the spring rates, which I believe are 8/6 for the BC, not sure what the Teins are. Most coilcovers can be custom ordered with different spring rates though.

Got BC`s on mine, Love them and very good quality, the adjusment for soft and hard is only a short turn of the knob, but makes a huge difference to the ride,BC`s all the way for me :)

I had the teins on my zed when i got it and i bought some new BC coilovers and they are better in everyway possible

:w00t:

ive got some 6 month old BC racing coilovers for sale .....

I've got the teins and I will be changing them far to stiff for my liking

Uhhh heres mine on BC reds, can still drop about another 2 inches front and 3 inches rear.

I looked into Tein SS, overpriced and overated by people who are brand whores. BC reds are used by many drift tems thrashed to heck with no problems.

Have you considered the Meister R's that were in the group buy? How do they compare against the BC's? I know alot of people really rate them.

I sure hear many good comments about the BC and think I will try them..the price is way cheaper than Tein.

I've noticed that Z Centre have these for £485. That's gotta be a typo surely?

+ vat + delivery = just over £600. About right.

They don't list the VAT and delivery charges up front which brings it up t £600+ again so not quite the bargain it first seems

I'm using Tein super street and they are absolutely fine. I've managed about 3500 miles including a dozen runs at the track including totb and a few runs at the strip. Everyone is slagging them off but my car handles extremely well in all conditions. I'll be racing in time attack next year and unless someone is gonna give me a set of monoflex I'll continue to run with the superstreet and I know they'll be competitive. It's not just about an individual component it's about how you match the whole set-up to make it work. I'm not suggesting that they're better than the BC coilovers because I don't have any experience of them but I can assure you that the tein are pretty good.

You got a point indeed, but! for the use I give this Z I don´t want to spend what Tein costs..compared to BC; I barely drive the Z except for few rides 2 times a month or long trip..would never ever race or drift on any race track-

I wouldn't call teins crap or a low quality product as such, just the BC is a higher spec for a lower price, and body adjustable coilovers are always going to be better than spring adjustable.

Coolq, do you still have the BC's for sale? Ive dropped you a pm?? any pics and idea of price please?
