Cars gone in for de-cat,really looking forward to hear what it sounds like with a mongoose exhaust and how it goes,had de cat pipes in garage roof about 6 months.

I would be interested to know how the performance is affected,

Sounds a lot better, my red 300zx has a mongoose with decats, ill dig the video out. sounded lovely

This is my car when it had standard size downpipes/de-cat pipes and a mongoose on the back, we've since put japspeed downpipe/de-cat pipes on and the raspy-ness is gone :(

unless its an NA lol. I dont actually agree with the above statement, I've never had a problem with turbos following a decat.

Kakimoto exhaust matey, or HKS super drager but that tends to be single exit.

 

Or get one custom made with mahoosive pipes like ive currently got on mine. ill get a video tomorrow of the sound. very beefy.

my turbos on that red one were fine and it was decatted for around 7 years

That's not a guarantee Baz! lol Mine has been de-catted since May/June time and has been given some hammer, my tubbies are fine.

Blimey, thats sounds quite loud alot louder than Ians/vods from what i can make of it.

It's got quieter since we put the Japspeed de-cat pipes on, but we did also change the cat-back section as well. Roses had some custom made exhaust on it, which wasn't very good, so we purchase a full exhaust second hand from Kinugawa Turbo, Mongoose cat-back with Japspeed de-cats, I only had standard mild steel de-cats, connected to a Mongoose cat-back on mine in that video. Rather than faffing around splitting everything up, when we broke Roses yellow Z, we just took both exhausts off at the downpipes and swapped. I then split my old exhaust, so someone else now has my original cat-back sections and my mild steel de-cats are sat in the garage ready to be sold.

if you have a N/A a decatted mongoose sounds awesome

sometimes its cross me mind lol, my red zed was the best one i had, mechanically sound just needed body work doing.

Ive got De-cats with Japspeed, Sounds real throaty... All helps the power aswell, Thumbs up buddy.......

Just picked it up ,does sound a bit different a bit deeper but not much.Car feels like it can breath at last,also there is no smoke which is cool.
