I know I havent been on here for long, but may be not so active for a while as sadly my mum passed away this morning after a relatively short but nasty illness.she will be sadly missed by all her family and friends,and nobody could have wished for a better mum and nan.

I went to a funeral monday. The vicar said when somebody dies, everybody says 'i dont know what to say'.

But if a few words would make things better, that wouldn't be right. There are no words of comfort. Just remember the good times.

Horrible news Dill. I think most of us will be going through this in the next 5 - 10 years being the age we all mostly are. RIP and my best wishes to you and your family.

Thanks guys.i posted it up as when my dad pasted away 18 months ago I didnt really tell anyone or talk about it and it didnt do me any good, so this is partly my way of coping if that makes sense....

Yup, best thing to do is talk about it, especially if it hurts, because bottling that will not end well.

Oh dear what terrible news, all my grandparents generation are sadly gone, I still have all my parents and in laws luckily, but it does cross my mind how it will be without them...awful is my conclusion and gets the bottom lip going, certainly puts things into perspective.

 

Try and be strong and take comfort that loss no matter who we are, unfortunate as it may be, does happen to us all.
