Hi no tail lights today but brake lights still work,I have been looking up possible causes and tail light sensor comes up.I have searched and cant find any sensor,i have 99 lookalikes.Any ideas thanks.

It's a black box, about the size of a fag packet, driver's side rear corner, behind the trim, could have dry solder joints...

The tail light sensor is a little black box behind the drivers rear plastic cover in the boot, behind the right hand light cluster.

have you tried turning the lights on First. before looking. Its the thingy on the stalk by the round thing. it does something and suddenly you can see light. :)

Fixed at last, had to get an auto electrician out £50 he bypassed the taillight sensor.Dam i wish i more car knowledge, save myself a few quid on something which is probably an easy fix for most of you.

I have never really been that involed with electrics either. I'm just mystified as to why and what this light sensor does.

Its rear light control box it senses a bulb out through the circuitry and lights a, bulb out light on the dash.
