Finally got one after a year of waiting for insurance :P photos!!

got this delivered today for a nice price. its a targa top model n/a auto, Apart from needing a wash and polish it needs the altenator replaced or reconned whatever is cheapest as the bushes inside it are either stuck/sticking, and the prop bearings need replaced as its knocking in the middle (under handbrake console if that helps you picture where) and thats basically it.

Well done Peter. Welcome to the club; any help and advice you'll find it on this site.

Tony.

Nice one fella welcome to the life of forever being skint lol

not sure if the pics are decieving but looks like the rear sills might need some attention sooner rather then later.

Good things come to those who wait?

Welcome to the club, buddy - hope the wait was worth it!

I'm liking the rear wing and wheels combo. Happy Zedding!

Shame on you for posting pics of her dirty - you wouldn't post dirty pics of your missus would you? Oh hang on, don't I know you from that other site?

Well done, and welcome to the club, looks quite tidy Zed, and in the best colour too....

Welcome along Peter! Nice looking Z, looks good with the wheels and spoiler.

I have a good condition alternator that I removed from my NA last year, yours for £35 delivered. I think a rebuild would be £40+.

Sounds great Baz i`ll take that off you at that price if you can send over some contact details :), the sills and nearside near arch has some surface rust but nothing major although the photos there do make it look like its in need of a good prepping but its just dirt, yes yes i know i shouldnt post dirty pics... of the car anyway but i couldnt wait :P

As for being skint i think i`ll be ok i have a mk4 supra na so a 3.0 isnt new to me and my insurance is only £161 a year so i`m saving cash there to

Nice to see you got a great price on insurance, these cars are classed as classics now with the right insurers and some people on here pay just over £100 a year for a twin turbo! :thumbup1:

If you can send the payment as a gift through paypal, to bkv8 (at) hotmail.co.uk and then send me a quick email to the same address with your name & address, I'll get it boxed up now and sent out tomorrow

Hi Peter,

welcome to the club mate! As for buying the parts you need - please do check out the "for sale" sections as there are always people breaking their cars and/or selling parts....

Is there a different between the prop shaft from a tt and an n/a, also can anyone help me with some info on my car i have no idea what 2+2 is and i`m sure mine is a swb model, this will help me loads with trying to get my car on the road thank you.

  • Author

Ah great thanks that helps alot in searching for bits i never knew there was a zed with no rear seats i assumed they all had "token seats" in the back like a mk4 supra, as in they`re there but cant really fit people in them lol

I know what you mean lol, there is also a swb slicktop and a convertible, so they had it covered with the options.

theres a propshaft for sale from a 2+2 twin turbo model if that would have fitted mine i could have had my zed on the road within the week :/
