The elerctric window on the drivers door has failed, Ive swapped out the switch for a fully tested one but its not the problem. I'm thinking its the motor. Is it possible to remove the door card with the window stuck in the fully up position???

It is possible, just a little more awkward.:turned:

One thing I did do though,

once I had popped the door car retainers, I laid under the door and with a slight gap, I remove all of the retainers from the card before remove it.

It gave me a little more (but very useful) movement, the first time I did it I left them in and ended up poking a hole through my speakers!

It will be the power window control module, dry solder joints, easy fix, and you only have to peel back the bottom right of the door card to get to it, I'll find you the how to now matey...

Lets hope it stays dry on the weekend or I'm gonna get a face full of rain laying under her again!

Remember no need to remove the door panel to get to the window relay unit, unclip the lower part of the trim and get your hand up half way in the middle and you will be able to pull it off the bracket, there is enough cable to pull it down lower than the panel edge to unplug, when fixed just pop it back in and all done.

Cheers Jeff, and many thanks for the "How to" good clear instructions and quality photo's make it so much easier for novices like me. Very much appreciated!!!

it worked for me too, had 4 or 5 dry joints, for ages I thought it was the window sticking on residual glue left over from removing the tints, Duh.

I didn't reaslise it locked the button on both sides. Ooops.
