Does anyone removed AC for weight reduce ? - Yes many have

How much does it weight? Around 20 kilos for the entire system

How to do it ? It's a dashboard out job I believe to remove everything and then remove pump from engine.

And is it engine works easer without AC? Of course, but you could just turn it off instead and keep the system for the summer. 20 kilos is nothing, unless you intend to strip huge amounts of weight from your car.

Well said. Removal as part of an entire weight saving project, in a Race/Track purpose build. But Removal on its own its worthless.

Yup - as above really!! I personally would not remove the a/c as it's part of the whole "GT car experience" ie speed and comfort!

I do remember someone saying that even with the a/c on, if you boot it to full power, it switches off momentarily so that the engine can produce full power.

It sounds clever - and I'm sure someone more in the know (Yowser?) will confirm either way....

According to the Conzult manual it does mate.

Yes it does, doesn't have to be full throttle either, just a rapid increase in throttle opening, and very responsive it is too. I know this because my compressor is noisy as **** so can hear it clearly. Need to get the replacement compressor installed, would never dump the AC on a road going car, stupid IMO.
