How difficult is it to change the speedo face on a zed?

Anyone got a tech with pics for it?

Thanx

it's pretty easy, just take your time...especially when taking the needle off.

-remove cluster from car --> http://300zx-twinturbo.com/tech/meterunit/cluster.htm

-remove two small srews on the bottom of the cluster.

-open up the cluster, it's held together with a few (selffixing) 'clips'

-remove the speedo part from the cluster (4 small screws for the speedo, 4 small screws for the boostgauge and sometimes there's another screw on the top of the speedo.

-remove the small needle-stopper from the face (carefully, it's very fragile)

-now you can turn the needle almost 360 degrees...remember it's lowest point !!

-now turn/screw the needle anti-clockwise while gently pulling it..it will pop off.

-remove the face (it's taped/glued)

-put new face on

-put needle back on, make sure the lowest point of the needle is at the same spot as before.

-put needle-stopper back

-etc..
